What is Vitamin D3?
Vitamin D3, also known as the sunshine vitamin, can be found in small amounts in a few foods, including fatty fish such as herring, mackerel, sardines and tuna. Astaxanthin is a natural compound found in the algae Haematococcus pluvialis. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid. It belongs to a larger class of phytochemicals known as terpenes. It is classified as a xanthophyll, which means "yellow leaves".
